LAKE
WATER QUALITY: The LMOA
Lake Preservation Committee reminds residents
that contamination of the lake can occur
at any time after heavy rains. Notices
will be posted at the beaches and by LMOA
information resources for confirmed contamination
only. Please protect your
health by avoiding lake water contact
for 24 to 48 hours after heavy rain or
until any posted restrictions have been
lifted.
~~~~~~~~~~
NO,
LAKE MONTICELLO: The Board has NOT scheduled
a deer kill!
We
sincerely regret that some members prefer
to use scare tactics rather than giving
LMOA the opportunity to research how best
to manage the deer population in our community.
An unsigned flyer being distributed throughout
the community has needlessly frightened
many residents. No decision
has been made to take any action of any
kind. The Wildlife
Management Committee, working with Staff,
many members of the community and regulatory
agencies, continues its comprehensive
research on the many options for managing
deer In a community such as ours. For
more information, see the Committee's
article in the Summer-Fall 2008 Lake Monticello
News, to be delivered next week.
~~~~~~~~~~
PLEASE
DON'T PUT ANYTHING IN OUR LAKE THAT DIDN'T
COME OUT OF IT!
The
health and enjoyment of our lake depend
on us.
