Lake Monticello’s beautiful semi-private 18-hole, par 72 golf course is ideal for golfers of all skill levels. The course was thoughtfully designed three decades ago by Buddy Loving to take advantage of the natural contours and features of Piedmont Virginia’s lovely rolling landscape. Everyone is welcome to enjoy golf at Lake Monticello, for the day or all year long.

Lake Monticello’s year-round, semi-private, 6,925-yard course features championship, men’s, seniors’ and ladies’ tees and offers state-of-the-art electric golf cars. Walking is permitted.

Tees and fairways are predominantly Bermuda grass, with bent grass greens. The fairways are open, but there are out of bounds, woods and/or water on every hole.

The Pro Shop provides golfers with a retail shop, driving range, practice green and bunker, and Eagles Nest snack bar. Group or individual golf lessons are available.

All golfers must be appropriately dressed. Cutoffs, halter tops, tank tops, swim wear, underwear as outerwear, t-shirts, tennis attire or blue jeans are not acceptable. Shirts must be collared or banded shirts; shorts must be mid-thigh or longer; and all golfers must wear golf with soft spikes or athletic shoes.

Annual greens and cart plans are available to residents and non-residents alike. Daily off-peak rates, seasonal and other special program rates also are available. (See latest Golf Fee Schedule.)
